Cali-Coast Road Trip
Driving down the Pacific Coast Highway has always been on my bucket list and I finally got to check it off! In 5 days, we drove a total of roughly 700 miles from San Francisco to San Diego, stopping overnight in Malibu and LA.  We sight-saw, ate, shopped, laughed and surprisingly never got car sick!  I highly recommend you add this trip to your own bucket list. Continue reading for my guide to the Cali-coast! San Francisco [gallery columns="5" ids="604,606,607,608,609"] We landed at about 11am and headed straight to eat! We chose Jane for a week-day brunch. My All Time Favorite Rom-Coms
'Tis the season to curl up under a blanket and watch movie-after-movie!   With very few days off, little sunlight and no excuse for the cold weather because the holidays are over, this static time between Winter break and Spring Break can be rough.  My remedy, however, is watching movies. Whether it be a weekend movie marathon or a weekday debrief after a long day, a good rom-com always puts me in a good mood.  These are my go-tos that I re-watch every year and I hope can cure your winter blues!   [gallery columns="4" ids="655,635,653,636,638,639,650,654,642,657,644,645" orderby="rand"] **Click on the movie…
Buckle Recipe Variety
I posted my Blueberry Buckle recipe on the blog about 3 months ago and everyone loves it so I decided to play with it a little bit.  Since so many of my friends are sensitive or allergic to gluten, I decided to try out a gluten free version.  My sister also doesn't like blueberries so I made a plain cinnamon version as well.  I also experimented with subbing buttermilk for whole milk and it turned out wonderful.  The ratios are slightly different, so make sure to read carefully.  Continue reading for my new buckle recipes!   Gluten Free Blueberry Buckle…
The Future of Glasses
"Discovered in NYC, Rock the Vibe is more than fashion. It's a movement. We believe it's not so much how you look, but how you look at the world.  When you and your friends go out with your Vibe Glasses, you experience and exhibit the authentic confidence of the Vibe Tribe.  Throw away your sunglasses. Then, Rock your Vibe Glasses! You'll find joy and confidence day or night, inside or outside, flying solo or with your tribe." There is no better way to put it than that.  Rock The Vibe is a company that sells and promotes their "vibe style"…
NYC’s Top 10 Cookies
Whether you are a chocolate chip, snickerdoodle or confetti fan, everyone loves a good cookie! New York is known for having the best of the best and there is no shortage when it comes to cookies! However, I know people have different preferences when it comes to cookies: gooey, chewy, cakey, crispy, etc.   To save your stomachs from a sugar-induced ache, I have decided to review the top 10 that the city has to offer so you can make sure you're getting just the right one.   Levain Bakery's Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookie [gallery columns="2" size="full" ids="580,566"] The fact…
Gift Guide For Her
We all know how busy the holiday season can be and this year is no exception. As the days go by, we are inching closer and closer to December 25th- or as we know it- CHRISTMAS!  Some people are great at gifting friends, family, and co workers with the best gifts, but for some, it doesn’t come so easy. So, I have put together a gift guide to hopefully help and inspire your gift-giving techniques FOR HER this holiday season!    Gift Guide for Her:   Common Sneakers: https://bit.ly/2QPz0Wv These sneakers come a variety of colors, but my favorite are…
All about last year’s “Christmas Cookie Day”
Last year we began a tradition that I hope to continue for years.  We call it the "Christmas Cookie Day".  It takes place close to Christmas and consists of a couple friends getting together and baking lots of Christmas cookies.  We then box them up and deliver them to our friends and family around the city.  It is the perfect activity to get us all in the Christmas spirit!  I mean, what better way is there to spread the holiday cheer than gifting boxes of yummy, fresh cookies? Since we were in the middle of moving apartments last year during…
Thanksgiving Menu
This year for Thanksgiving we decided to go the classic route: turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, etc.  Along with family recipes, we have chosen some new recipes to try out.  Continue reading to see what we have in-store for this holiday meal! First things first, dessert.  We decided to go with the classic pumpkin pie and family-favorite, chocolate pudding pie.  My mom also has ordered our favorite chocolate-pecan pie from a local bakery, Two Little Red Hens.  Additionally, I am super excited to make homemade buttermilk biscuits to eat warm with butter and honey. As for the protein, we always…
My Recent Fitness Journey
Have you ever been in a rut? Have you found yourself doing something over and over and becoming bored or not seeing the results you intended to see? Well, that was me at the beginning of this school year. I love working out. The sweat, endorphins and confidence I exude post-workout makes me keep coming back for more. But, something recently felt "off" and I started doing a little research. Living in a day and age where there are so many workouts and classes to choose from, there aren't many I haven't tried. But what I noticed was that these…
Blueberry Buckle
I have to give all the credit to my mom's friend Allie's mom for this amazing recipe!  She brought it over once and I knew I had to get the recipe.  Since then, it has become a favorite in our household.  A "buckle" is like a coffee cake with lots of crumb and this one is full of plump blueberries that add the best pop of freshness within the layers of butter and sugar.  I am telling you that you will love this and your whole family will love you for making it! Also a bonus is that it doesn't…

My Beauty Routine
[playlist type="video" ids="502"] ^click the title then click the download link to view video My beauty routine has always been pretty simple. Since, I have very sensitive skin I was always afraid to try new products because I was worried they would irritate my face. However after seeing many dermatologists and estheticians, I have found a routine that works for me. My routine includes a facial cleanser, vitamin C serum, moisturizer and of course Aquaphor! I also do a hydrating mask once a week, maybe more during the winter, to prevent flaking and a self-tanning pad occasionally to keep a good glow. Recently I…
NYC Day Guides
Whenever people come to New York, I always get the same questions: "What do I do? What do I see? Where do I eat?". The Big Apple has so much to offer and is always changing which makes it difficult to pin point a couple of the "best" places. Therefore, I decided it would be more efficient and useful if I mapped out a couple days for my guests. Each day is dedicated to a different purpose.  Whether you want to experience New York like a tourist, an athlete or a shopaholic, the choice is yours! NYC 101 - "the…
Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare
After reading a lot about the well-known restaurant Chefs Table, I decided I needed to go. As 1 of the only 5 three Michelin star restaurants in New York City, there was no doubt in my mind that it wouldn't be good but I was a little worried that it might be a little too eclectic. However, I was pleasantly surprised because I loved almost every dish. I have posted pictures from my meal on Instagram but I wanted to share more details with you here. There were a total of 13 courses and an option to do a wine tasting as well.…
How I Burned 1000 Calories By Watching TV
The newest fitness craze might seem ridiculous as it doesn't actually involve any movement. Shape House is what they call an "Urban Sweat Lodge" where you do exactly that, sweat. You lie in a heated bed for an hour and burn up to 1000 calories is the meantime. After seeing pictures of people "sweating" all over instagram, especially by their well-known client Selena Gomez, I decided to try myself. First thing I noticed when I arrived was the strong smell of incense when I walked in the door. Although it isn't my favorite, it does set the mood. After checking in and…

The City of Love
What’s not to love about Paris? Prestige architecture, luxurious fashion, divine dishes and lots of history make this city pretty easy to fall in love with. I’ve only been twice but it has quickly made it’s way up my list of favorite destinations. Here I share my to-do’s of this amazing city: First things first, food. People who know me know that the first thing I think of when planning a vacation is what I’m going to eat. How I Stay “Fit” During The Summer
When summer rolls in I tend to loose my grip of a healthy lifestyle. “Why not? It’s summer!” seems to be my response when faced with pizza, pasta, cake and all other unhealthy things. It isn’t until the last week of summer that I realize that my jeans no longer fit. But this summer I am determined to be on top of my health. Since I am aware that I just love food too much and dieting during the summer is impossible, I have decided to take a different route. Instead, I have decided to stay active everyday to keep my body toned…
All-Time-Favorite Almond Milk Recipe
Warning addicting product, I repeat ADDICTING. This almond milk goes as quick as water in my house. Ever since I started adding dates to my almond milk, I end up having to make multiple batches each week. The dates give it a unique sweetness without the guilt. There is a world of a difference between homemade almond milk and store-bought almond milk. Once you make it yourself, you'll never go back. I used to love store-bought almond milk before I made it myself and realized how different it tastes without all the preservatives and additives. Another bonus in making your almond…
